Job description

Field Safety Inspector
Full Time (40 Hrs Weekly), M-F, 6am typical start time
Exempt
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop a strong understanding of the fire protection and life safety industry.
  • Lead and drive safety compliance among all field technicians.
  • Conduct routine field inspections and audits to identify hazards and verify compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate safety records and prepare detailed reports on HSE performance, trends, and incidents.
  • Audit job sites to evaluate tools, equipment, materials, and personnel activities for safety and health compliance.
  • Collaborate with employees to develop solutions that improve workplace safety and reduce operational risk.
  • Maintain positive, professional working relationships with internal departments, customers, and external partners.
  • Support return-to-work processes for employees on leave due to workplace injuries or illnesses.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • Ability to understand and interpret OSHA 29 CFR 1910 & 1926; knowledge of confined space procedures preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Safety, Construction, or related fields is preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with strong prioritization and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must lead by example and consistently enforce company safety policies.
  • Ability to multitask, visit multiple job sites daily, and tolerate extensive road travel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to convey technical and non-technical information clearly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Flexible schedule to meet operational needs.
  • Valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:
  • Regular walking, standing, and bending.
  • Frequent sitting and driving.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to climb ladders and operate or work from aerial lifts.
  • Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and in varying outdoor weather conditions.

Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain within one month of hire (company will assist).
  • Additional safety training, technical coursework, or certifications strongly preferred.

Compensation: This role is salaried with estimated salary range between $45,000-$55,000 based on experience. Full benefits are offered. Company vehicle to be provided.
