Job description

TITLE: Dental Hygienist – Expedition Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics

Monday–Friday: 8:00 am–5:00 pm

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

  • Someone with an active Missouri Dental Hygienist License. 
  • Positive attitude and willingness to grow. 
  • Passion for dentistry and working with children and teens. 
  • Someone who thrives in a busy environment and is a team player. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Comprehensive preventive care visits including dental cleanings and calculus removal 
  • Educate patients (and parents/guardians) on proper oral hygiene practices and provide personalized recommendations. 
  • Take and develop dental x-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. 
  • Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary instruments and maintaining a sterile environment. 
  • Document patient information, treatment plans, and progress in electronic health records. 
  • Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants as needed. 
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in dental hygiene techniques. 
  • Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and exceptional patient care. 
  • Uphold infection control and safety standards to create a comfortable and secure environment for patients and staff.
