Job description

You will be the Design Engineer / Checker - Level 2 for the Build to Package Verification Process and Compliance team which is responsible for ensuring the integrity, completeness, and compliance of F35 engineering designs and 3D models.


What You Will Be Doing


As the Design Engineer / Checker - Level 2 you will be responsible for acting as a critical quality gate, reviewing designs, applying GD&T, and validating models before they move downstream.


Your responsibilities will include:



  • Review and analyze F35 engineering designs and 3D models for compliance with specifications, standards, and downstream user needs.

  • Apply ASME Y14.5 GD&T principles and verify drawing standards per ASME Y14.100.

  • Conduct modelcentric verification, ensuring full definition of features and FSDA compliance.

  • Generate concise check and nonconformance reports while maintaining traceability matrices.

  • Collaborate with design engineers, configuration managers, and program stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and effectively.

You bring a collaborative spirit, a positive attitude, and the ability to communicate findings clearly both verbally and in writing. Your proficiency with PC operations and the MSOffice suite enables you to produce highquality documentation and support continuous improvement of checking processes.
