Senior Media Planner, Disney Consumer Products (Project Hire)

Disney Experiences Marketing

Job Summary

Disney Experiences Marketing is seeking an experienced Media Planner for a Project Hire role focused on building and scaling a marketplace media strategy for Disney Store and providing media planning support across Disney Publishing and franchise consumer product initiatives. As part of the Media & Growth Marketing team, this role will lead strategic planning across Amazon Ads and Walmart Connect while partnering closely with eCommerce leadership, Marketplace Operations, and cross-functional teams across Marketing, Technology, Legal, and Compliance. The ideal candidate brings deep media planning expertise, hands-on marketplace advertising experience, a strong go-to-market mindset, and the ability to manage multiple business priorities while building the processes, capabilities, and strategic plans needed to drive growth across a portfolio of businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own marketplace media strategy and go-to-market planning for Disney Store marketplace advertising initiatives, with an eye toward future expansion.

  • Collaborate with the Disney Publishing and Franchise Consumer Products Strategy teams to translate business needs into impactful media strategies.

  • Partner with the Media Activation team to execute campaigns across Amazon Ads and Walmart Connect - as well as digital media channels.

  • Build a disciplined marketplace advertising planning process that improves visibility, readiness, and execution across launches and campaigns.

  • Partner with eCommerce leadership and Marketplace Operations to translate assortment, inventory, and platform realities into effective media and investment decisions.

  • Act as a key marketplace marketing integrator across Media, Affiliate, CRM, and Social to support aligned planning and execution.

  • Collaborate with partners across Marketing, Technology, Legal, and Compliance to support the launch of new advertising platforms, tools, and capabilities.

  • Help establish the data, product, and workflow inputs required to support efficient campaign setup, measurement, optimization, and reporting.

  • Contribute to the development of marketplace reporting, translating performance data into actionable insights and business recommendations for stakeholders.

  • Develop strategic recommendations on channel mix, partner mix, testing priorities, and investment shifts based on business goals and performance insights.

  • Monitor campaign performance, manage budgets, and drive optimization to improve efficiency, growth, and commercial impact.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in media planning and marketplace advertising.

  • Proven experience managing retail media campaigns with focused expertise with Amazon Ads and Walmart Connect.

  • Strong understanding of marketplace business drivers, including assortment, inventory, promotional planning, and performance measurement.

  • Experience developing go-to-market strategies and translating business priorities into actionable media plans.

  • Ability to work independently and influence cross-functional partners without direct people management responsibility.

  • Experience launching or scaling new advertising capabilities, workflows, or processes in a fast-paced eCommerce or retail environment.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate performance insights into clear recommendations and action plans.

  • Experience working with performance reporting and presenting actionable insights to business stakeholders in a clear, decision-oriented way.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Education
