Job description

Flyspace Productions is a full-service, woman-owned event management and production company. We produce some of the largest festivals and live events in the region, along with private, corporate, and community events. Our Production Department provides concert audio, lighting, rigging, staging, and one of the largest fleets of Stageline Mobile Stages on the East Coast. Our Events Department supports event management and logistics, festival production, and brand activations.

We are seeking Event Operations Assistants to work with us throughout the summer festival season and beyond. This position supports a wide range of event and production work, including general labor, site coordination, and event logistics. If you enjoy hands-on work where every day is different, this could be a great fit!

Responsibilities & What to Expect:

  • Assist with setup and breakdown of events, including loading/unloading and organizing materials
  • Support stage, lighting, audio, and general event operations
  • Perform physical work, lifting up to 50 pounds, indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Follow instructions, communicate clearly, and ask questions when needed
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Maintain professionalism when working with team members, clients and the public
  • Travel to event sites (reliable transportation required)
  • Must be at least 18 and authorized to work in the U.S.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Dependable, punctual team players
  • Comfortable with physical, active work
  • Positive attitude and willingness to take direction
  • Interest in live events and productions
  • Eagerness to learn and be trained in company systems and safety practices
  • Valid driver’s license (clean driving record preferred for driving roles)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in theater, festivals, concerts, warehouse work, or event production
  • Basic technical skills such as carpentry, lighting, audio, AV, or rigging
  • Comfortable driving vans or small box trucks
Hourly, non-exempt position. Pay starts at $17/hr, with opportunities for higher rates based on experience and technical skills.

A Few Friendly Notes Before You Apply

What to Expect
We’ve done our best to outline the key responsibilities and expectations for this role, but like most things in our industry, the details can shift. This description should be seen as a general guide, which may be updated or modified from time to time, rather than a complete list. We’re a flexible team, and we hope you are too! We value adaptability and a collaborative spirit in our team.

Work Eligibility
In line with federal law, everyone we hire needs to be able to work in the U.S. and complete the standard employment verification paperwork when they join the team. This includes verification of your identity and eligibility to work for us.

Everyone’s Welcome
Flyspace is an equal opportunity employer. That means we don’t just welcome diversity, we celebrate it. We hire talented humans of all backgrounds and identities, and we’re committed to building an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. If you’re into respect, collaboration, and creativity, you’ll fit right in.

Let’s Talk Money
We believe in being upfront about pay. That’s why we include salary ranges or hourly pay expectations in all our postings, no guesswork required. While Pennsylvania doesn’t mandate this (yet), we think it’s the right thing to do. We also offer a great benefits package, starting on day one.

Need Accommodations?
Flyspace is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming workplace and encourage people of all abilities to apply. We will do everything we can within reason to make sure that you are able to participate in the application process and that you are evaluated in an environment that best allows us to assess your skills. If you need reasonable accommodation during any stage of the application or hiring process, please let us know. We're happy to explore how we can support your access and success.
