SUMMARY OF OPPORTUNITY:
Provide an online learning environment in a computer lab for students to pursue virtual school and credit recovery courses. Develop students through education to help them become active and productive members of their families and communities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, and experience working with alternative education students.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Utilize online learning program in a manner that is relevant to student learning.
  • Provide an exciting and motivating classroom and online experience for youth.
  • Answer student emails, and phone calls related to online course content and technical issues.
  • Utilize positive classroom management skills to promote respect, discipline, and collaboration in both classroom and online environments.
  • Stay in contact with parents and students via phone, email, or in person regularly to discuss academic and social progress of students, inspiring students to reach their highest potential.
  • Possess a willingness to collaborate and share practices with colleagues.
  • Actively participate in meetings, conferences, media events, and/or related activities within the school, community, and organization as requested by school administration.
  • Attend and participate in school programs such as dances, graduations, dinners, and parent meetings.
  • Monitor student body adherence of school rules such as discipline.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the principal.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills are required to perform multiple, technical task with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the function of the job include: analyzing data and effective listening.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Job related experience within specialized field is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
