As Corporate Development Analyst, you'll lead the evaluation and valuation of prospective investment opportunities in and outside of Williams' existing portfolio. You will work on a team of hard-working problem solvers, bringing solutions to sophisticated business challenges. Dealing effectively with ambiguity, balancing big picture thinking with attention to detail, and anticipating your business partners' needs are keys to success!

Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Manages and leads financial modeling and valuation in the evaluation of mergers, acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, major capital projects and commercial contracting with the goal of proposing innovative solutions and structures to improve value
  • Supports the entirety of the merger and acquisition, capital investment, and commercial negotiation process including strategy, opportunity identification, due diligence, deal structuring, execution, and integration
  • Assists in formal deal due diligence by reviewing and analyzing company and investment information
  • Assesses the competitive landscape, trends, strategic fit, sources of commonalities and potential risks of an investment
  • Presents recommendations and proposals to senior leadership and external parties related to prospective transactions and investments
  • Conducts research and analysis regarding new growth opportunities
  • Mentors, trains, and develops other team members with a focus on promoting team culture and creating an atmosphere of teamwork and trust
  • Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, related field
  • Preferred: Master's degree and minimum ten (10) years' experience
  • Preferred: Experience in energy industry
  • Preferred: Experience leading economic valuation modeling for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital projects
Other Requirements:
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to utilize Excel models for valuation, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and accretion/dilution
  • Strong finance skills with a solid understanding of income statements, balance sheets, and a statement of cash flows
  • General understanding of the oil and natural gas industry
  • Preferred: Experience in corporate development, investment banking, or economic valuation
