Job description

We are seeking an experienced Principal Technical Program Manager to drive measurement product parity across Amazon Advertising's ecosystem. This role sits within the Measurement, Ad Tech, and Data Science (MADS) organization and is responsible for ensuring consistent, high-quality measurement capabilities are available across all Amazon ad products, locales, supply sources, verticals, and customer interfaces. You will define and execute the strategy to close measurement gaps, align cross-functional teams, and deliver a unified measurement experience for advertisers worldwide.
Key job responsibilities
- Measurement Parity Strategy & Vision: Define the long-term vision and own the multi-year roadmap to achieve measurement product parity across ad products (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, DSP, etc.), international locales, supply types (Store, Prime Video, FireTV, APS, etc.), verticals (CPG, Automotive, Financial Services, etc.), and customer-facing interfaces (Console, API, MCP Tools). Influence org-level investment decisions and resource allocation.
- Gap Analysis & Prioritization: Conduct systematic assessments of measurement coverage gaps across dimensions (product x locale x supply x vertical x interface), quantify business impact, and drive prioritization with product and engineering leadership.
- Cross-Functional Program Execution: Lead complex, multi-team programs spanning measurement science, ad tech engineering, data infrastructure, product management, and international expansion teams to deliver parity milestones on time. Operate as a force multiplier by establishing scalable mechanisms that outlast individual initiatives.
- Stakeholder Alignment & Influence: Serve as the central point of coordination between measurement product teams, ad product owners, and customer-facing tool teams. Drive alignment at VP and SVP levels on parity goals, trade-offs, and investment priorities. Represent the measurement parity agenda in org-level planning (OP1/OP2).
- Metrics & Reporting: Establish and maintain parity scorecards, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms that provide transparency into coverage status, progress, and blockers across all dimensions.
- Technical Depth: Develop deep understanding of measurement methodologies (attribution, incrementality, brand lift, reach & frequency), instrumentation pipelines, and data infrastructure to effectively identify dependencies, risks, and technical constraints.
- Customer Obsession: Advocate for advertiser needs by ensuring measurement capabilities are consistent regardless of how or where they engage with Amazon Advertising.
- Operational Excellence & Thought Leadership: Drive mechanisms (WBRs, program reviews, escalation paths) to maintain velocity and remove blockers across distributed teams. Raise the bar on TPM practices within the organization and mentor senior TPMs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
