Patient care: Our Division, in partnership with the Center for Aging and Health, is committed to excellence in clinical care, education, and research. Faculty members have the opportunity to practice in a variety of settings, including our award-winning interdisciplinary Geriatrics Clinic, continuing care retirement communities, skilled nursing facility, and our Acute Care for the Elderly Inpatient Service.

Position Summary
Open Rank Faculty Position - Division of Geriatric Medicine, UNC School of Medicine

The Division of Geriatric Medicine at the UNC School of Medicine is seeking a dedicated and passionate Open Rank Faculty to join our esteemed faculty in a clinician-researcher role. This role will allow for 75% research effort / 25% clinical, with an opportunity to flex to 50% research / 50% clinical. Research effort will be supported by resources from the Center for Aging and Health, and mentoring and collaboration from other UNC faculty conducting clinical research in aging, in order to develop and expand a successful grant-funded program of original research to improve care and outcomes for older adults.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
MD (or MD-PhD) with residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Geriatric Medicine
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Board Certified/Board Eligible Geriatricians
Special Physical/Mental Requirements Campus Security Authority Responsibilities
