WHAT IS KIDSTRONG?

We help parents discover their child's superpowers and build future-ready kids who are confident in making friends, running the playground, and raising their hands high in the classroom. In other words... kids who will win at life!
As a Head Coach, you will be responsible for providing leadership and daily direction to the Coaching team in our facility. This critical position must have a solid understanding of operational excellence. As a lead for the Center the HC must execute on training and mentoring the Coaching team, execute on a marketing strategy plan to increase KidStrong program sales, and engage in customer relations with members and parents. This leader must pose a high caliber approach to coaching, staff development, and culture setting.
Job Duties
  • Being able to commit to a Sunday through Thursday weekly schedule, with Fridays and Saturdays off.
  • Responsible for creating a positive, high energy, professional center environment.
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the KidStrong coaching staff.
  • Recruits, hires, and trains all new coaches.
  • Responsible for the organization & cleanliness of the training floor as well as other areas of the Center. Maintains the relationship with facility vendors to ensure expectations are met.
  • Responsible for performing any cleaning and upkeep to the Center floor and equipment to ensure that a clean and fresh appearance is kept.
  • Responsible to building KidStrong attendance, retaining current members and achieving monthly revenue and net membership goals.
  • Responsible for watching class utilization and age-ups to optimize the schedule accordingly to meet the demands of the membership while ensuring staffing needs are adequate to meet any changing schedules.
  • Responsible for the KidStrong coaching schedule - daily, weekly and monthly and maintain staff in HomeBase to ensure accurate payroll.
  • Responsible for follow up communication with new, current, and former KidStrong Center members.
  • Conducts monthly all-hands meetings with coaching staff and attends all HQ meetings to ensure understanding of new templates and programs.
  • Handles member concerns in a professional, objective manner with the goal of resolution.
  • Coaches a minimum of 17 shift hours of KidStrong Cibolo classes including weekends, as needed.
  • Serves as the primary backup for KidStrong Cibolo Classes, Birthdays, Camps, and any other revenue-generating events.
  • Required to work Sunday through Thursday.
  • Assist General Manager by ensuing leads are followed up with quickly and trial classes are set up within 24-36 hours of reaching out.
  • Maintain current, active employees files which include CPR cards, resume, any certifications, disciplinary items, emergency contact info, etc.
  • Performs an evaluation of each coach quarterly (more if new or needed).
  • Social Media standard detailed in employee handbook: KidStrong Head Coach's are the voice of the centers on social and digital media sites. While acting as the "face" of our centers, you will be held to the appropriate ethical standard and may not make posts or comments on Facebook and other social media sites regarding politics, religion or anything deemed vulgar or inappropriate. If social media connections are made with parents or students, a separate social media account must be made (i.e., Coach Jenn).

Admin Duties
  • Work with General Manager on any student concerns in class from discipline to ensure each student is in the correct class and that KidStrong is right for the family
  • When needed, make the calls to parents on these issues if you as Head Coach is the one that is closest to the student or behavior.
  • Required Sales Call Blocks as detailed on schedule from owners which can change from time to time to meet business needs.
  • To follow the Saturday/Sunday Checklist on the weekend day the HC is working.
  • To follow the HC Admin Checklist during the weekdays during your allotted admin time, which is provided by the owners.
  • A weekly meeting with General Manager to review Center utilization, age-ups, rank-ups, staffing updates and sales goals. KPI vs Zen audit completed each week.
  • A weekly meeting with San Antonio Leadership team

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Passion for working with children is non-negotiable!
  • Previous experience in management is preferred but not required
  • Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age group is preferred
  • Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on the KidStrong curriculum
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
  • CPR certified
  • Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-starter who just gets a job done

Compensation: $42,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year
