Pay Rate:$75.00 - $81.00 per hour (W2 ONLY)
** Must be LOCAL or willing to RELOCATE at your own expense**
** This is role is 100% ONSITE, no remote work offered**
Seeking to hire a Engineer to join our Ryohin Joken (Conditions for Good Process and Product) advancement and problem-solving group. They will be responsible for leading planning and problem-solving efforts in pre-production trial activity. Utilizing and improving systems & procedures for efficient and effective issue identification, root cause analysis, issue resolution, and reoccurrence prevention / Kaizen to subsequent activity and projects. They will also contribute to the success of developing organization s capabilities through advancement & application of Ryohin Joken knowledge and skill. As future development, this position has potential to rotate into role of process equipment production preparation management including specification , procurement, installation, and trial activity.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Member of cross-functional team collaborating with equipment
Engage and resolve material, product, and process issues both internal and external.
Create and implement working/trial plan for confirmation & problem-solving activity.
Create detail technical and summary reports for organizational learning and development.
Input to process & equipment plan/specification for Kaizen & issue reoccurrence prevention.
Use and advancement of systems and procedure for problem solving & learning capture.
Individual activity management, status visualization/reporting, and incremental reflection.
Participate in internal & external partner relationships aligning to team objectives, development, and support.
Activity related to PE-BME Department-level Hoshin for organizational advancement.
Individual support for standardization & Kaizen of Department systems and process.
Drive own individual development, seek feedback, and monitor progress.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
** Ideally seeking a Chemical Engineer work worked with Chemical industry/ Battery/ Semiconductor background in problem solving and/or Quality role
EDUCATION: Bachelor s Degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical field or 5+ years of equivalent Engineering role experience in a manufacturing environment.
2+ years experience in manufacturing production preparation role and schedule/deliverable management including stages of project plan, process/equipment plan, specification & procurement, installation and trial.
1+ years in battery cell product, processes/equipment, and/or trial activity
Experience in activity of Ryohin Joken identification, application, and/or confirmation.
Experience coordinating with varied functions in large corporate organization, including production engineering, manufacturing, research & development, or similar, and reporting out to senior leadership level.
Experience in interpreting & applying product/process specification, and drawing
Experience in product process/equipment simultaneous engineering for new model.
Other Requirements:
20%: Travel - Domestic and International (able to obtain a US Passport)
20% - Over-time (covering weekends, holidays, and shutdowns, when required)
Posses Steel Toe Boots or able to obtain them.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in manufacturing plant production operations role.
Experience in data analytics tools and methods.
Experience in digital engineering software tools and procedures, including the ability to read, interpret and modify model data.
Japanese language proficiency, including verbal and written.
