Job description

Position Summary: The Server / Bartender plays a key role in creating an environment of hospitality by welcoming members and guests and working as a team with the culinary staff to provide exceptional service and memorable positive experiences at Wing & Barrel Ranch. The role of Server / Bartender goes above and beyond taking orders and delivering drinks and food and being attentive to detail, building rapport with members, and promoting our cuisine, wine & beverage offerings, and benefits of Club membership.

This is an on-call, non-exempt (hourly), at-will position. Wing and Barrel Ranch may call you from time to time on occasions when there is an opportunity to work, and you may determine at that time whether you are available to work.

Essential Duties:
  • Develops relationships with members, guests, and team mates to help create a warm environment where everyone expects to enjoy high quality food and beverages, excellent service, and a fun, personalized club atmosphere.
  • Responds to members’ questions, concerns or complaints with care and tact and communicates and involves management to resolve issues timely.
  • Develops club knowledge and stays up to date on menus, wine & spirits list, cigar list, club events, club amenities, programs, and other areas of interest to members to be knowledgeable, answer questions and make recommendations.
  • Sets up and sanitizes bar and service areas, tables. Keeps stations and service areas clean and always organized.
  • Follows the Bar Standards of Service and alerts the manager on duty when there are timing or food quality issues.
  • Follows safe food handling, sanitation, and accident prevention principles.
  • Executes cleaning schedules and safety and sanitation inspection for the bar, equipment, and service areas.
  • Uses Club Essentials and helps manages menu and pricing in the system. May assist or trains others as needed.
  • Checks in/out with manager on duty. Completes opening and closing duties/SOPs.
  • Follows safe food handling, sanitation, and accident prevention principles.
  • Retrieves used dishware, utensils, and linen from bar and dining areas, sorts, and places items appropriately at the dishwasher station.
  • Stocks and stores glassware and other equipment appropriately
  • Executes cleaning detail as assigned.

  • Qualifications

    Education/Experience

    2 or more years in a server/bartender position in a high-end restaurant or private club

    Highschool diploma or GED

    While performing the duties of this job, employees must be able to tolerate varying stress levels, temperature, illumination, and air quality. Must be able to maneuver through all areas of the restaurant and kitchen. Requires mobility, prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. Must be able to carry and lift 40 lbs. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Must be able to respond quickly and efficiently during periods when many orders arrive at station at the same time.
