Open Shifts:

  • 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. | Sunday – Thursday
    Every other Thursday paid off (wellness day)
  • 5:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. | Tuesday – Saturday
    Every other Tuesday paid off (wellness day)

Your Role

Position Title: Shift Lead, Recovery Residential
Heritage has two full-time Shift Lead positions available within our Recovery Residential Services program, which includes the Crisis Stabilization Unit and the Substance Use Residential Rehabilitation Unit.

Shift Leads provide leadership presence and support throughout the unit, ensuring continuity of care, adherence to protocols, and delivery of high-quality, recovery-oriented services in a residential setting.

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as an on-the-job resource for administrative and clinical operations
  • Maintain consistent presence on the unit throughout the shift
  • Act as Lead Back-Up for medication availability (primary for weekend and bedtime meds)
  • Review round sheets for compliance
  • Ensure admissions follow established protocols
  • Support training and orientation of Behavioral Health Specialists
  • Coordinate unit coverage and provide direct coverage when needed
  • Review inventory and submit supply orders
  • Facilitate 2nd and 3rd shift huddles
  • Ensure on-call schedules are accurate and posted
  • Complete and review shift reports
  • Promote quality care, hospitality, and recovery-oriented practices

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong leadership and communication skills in a behavioral health setting
  • Ability to respond calmly in dynamic or high-acuity situations
  • Trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and person-centered approach
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications

  • Experience in residential behavioral health or substance use treatment preferred
  • Supervisory or lead experience strongly encouraged
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum age: 21
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
