Overview
Registered Nurse (RN) - Special Procedures Area
Fulltime M-F, Day Shift, 7:30am - 4:00pm (Option for Weekly Rotation of Five 8's and Four 8's)
Minimal On-Call Requirements: 1 weeknight call shift every 2-3 weeks; 1 weekend call shift every 12-14 weekends
Special Procedures RN uses five procedural suites and provides diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to both inpatient and outpatients, including bronchoscopy, gastrointestinal endoscopy, motility and ph studies, breath hydrogen testing, and pill cam studies.

Qualifications
Education:
  • ADN or BSN

Licensure/Certification/Registry:
  • Licensed as RN in State of Illinois
  • Current BLS/CPR certification per policy

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Must be able to position and/or transfer an average adult patient and possess gross coordination sufficient to perform other patient care duties as required. Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing. Must be able to perform difficult manipulative skills such as IV insertion and IM injections.
  • Environmental working conditions include exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue, contagious diseases and/or radioactive or other potentially hazardous materials.
