Job description

Position: Flex Fund Coordinator                              
FLSA: Exempt
Status: Full-Time   
Reports to: Sr. Manager, Support Services & Community Partnerships     
 
Position Summary: The Flex Fund Coordinator (FFC) is responsible for partnering with JVS coaches and the finance team to administer financial support for clients to overcome obstacles to training and employment. The FFC is a member of the Support Services and Community Partnerships Team, which works to remove barriers to employment for JVS clients and applicants through building reciprocal relationships with Community Based Organizations that address these challenges. JVS is in the process of creating a pool of funds to help solve some of these challenges for our clients. In addition to this newly created fund, the FFC will oversee the administrative process for a separate funding source for a specific program, adhering to each program’s unique guidelines. The FFC oversees the process of administering $250K+ of funds to clients annually and requires the ability to solve complex problems while navigating bureaucratic systems with minimal oversight, as they coordinate a portfolio of clients’ needs through JVS’s financial support programs. 
 
This is a hybrid position and will require at least two days working in the office at JVS and other days remotely. 
 
Essential Job Functions: 
Accountability and Results Focused:  
  • In collaboration with Client Services leadership, design, implement, and improve upon a process to administer flex funds to JVS clients 
  • Administer an additional, separate Client Support funds program, meeting all funder and programmatic requirements 
  • Be willing to learn and apply knowledge of local systems to help clients navigate benefits and services such as housing, childcare, DTA benefits, unemployment, and other needed resources  
 
Build relationships, collaboration and teamwork: 
  • Support and promote the mission and philosophy of JVS both internally and outside the agency 
  • Partners with Support Services and Community Partnerships Team members to meet CS goals 
  • Partners with coaches from across the organization to meet their clients' needs 
 
Administrative/ Communications 
  • Excellent financial management skills 
  • Proven ability to prioritize and organize tasks while working between departments 
  • Independent judgment and discretion to assess and meet client financial needs 
  • Ability to solve complex problems and navigate bureaucratic systems.  
  • Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills required  
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment required  
 
Qualifications and Experience 
  • BA/BS 4-year college degree and 3+ years experience project management experience 
  • Experience with government contracts and funding initiatives preferred 
  • Strong knowledge of issues related to individuals with significant barriers to employment 
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills required 
  • Salesforce skills preferred
