Job description

Parsons House Cypress is a thriving assisted living community seeking Caregiver/Medication Techs for Full Time, Flex and PRN. We are looking for energetic, dependable people who enjoy helping our residents live in a safe, healthy and happy atmosphere. Experience working with seniors is REQUIRED. If you are you passionate about helping others, join our team of compassionate professionals!

*This candidate must be willing and able to work as a Caregiver or a Med Tech, depending on the need of the shift! Previous experience supervising medications in an assisted living or nursing home is REQUIRED!*

*Use "On Demand Pay" on our payroll app and get paid when you want via direct deposit!*

Available positions:

  • Days: 6am - 2:30pm
    • Full Time
      • 4 days on/2 days off
      • Flex: no set schedule but guaranteed 40 hours per week, must be able to work any shift
    • PRN: no set schedule, no guarantee of hours, must be able to work any shift
  • Evenings, 2pm - 10:30pm
    • Full Time
      • 4 days on/2 days off
      • Flex: no set schedule but guaranteed 40 hours per week, must be able to work any shift
    • PRN: no set schedule, no guarantee of hours, must be able to work any shift
  • Nights, 10pm - 6:30am
    • Full Time
      • 4 days on/2 days off
      • Flex: no set schedule but guaranteed 40 hours per week, must be able to work any shift
    • PRN: no set schedule, no guarantee of hours, must be able to work any shift

The desired Caregiver/Medication Tech candidates will have experience providing seniors with:

  • Supervising medication, supplies, safekeeping of medications and documentation in accordance with AL regulations and requirements
  • Reviewing med orders
  • Supervising implementation of resident service and care plans
  • Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, escorting and incontinence care
  • Informing physician and supervisor of changes in condition and needs of residents as necessary
  • Working with third party providers and communicating with residents’ families
  • Working as a team

What we require of Care Manager/Medication Tech candidates:

  • At least 1-2 years experience in a senior living community (assisted living or nursing home)
  • Must be able to clear national background check, TB test, Coronavirus test and drug screening.
