FT University Security Officer

Per Mar Security is hiring for full-time University Campus Security Officer. 

Schedule is 2nd shift hours, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm, Wednesday - Sunday. 40 hours-per-week at $18.00/hr

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor campus to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
  • Respond to calls for service by students and staff.
  • Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
  • Address issues regarding suspicious or criminal acts.
  • Report any facility issues to the appropriate department.
  • Request emergency personnel for high risk situations.
  • Other duties as assigned by site supervisor. 

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Pass a pre-employment background investigation and drug screen.
  • A valid drivers license and driving record that meets company policy.
  • Possess an IL PERC license, or meet state requirements to obtain one.
  • Ability to handle physical duties of the position.
  • Strong attention to detail.
