What is the 240 day rule in H-1B?

The 240-day rule in H-1B employment allows an H-1B worker to continue working beyond the approved validity period if a timely extension or renewal petition has been filed with USCIS before the current status expires. This period provides a grace period for job seekers to maintain employment while their extension is processed, ensuring continuous work authorization for up to 240 days from the expiration date of the current H-1B status or until a decision is made on the extension, whichever comes first.

Can H-1B work 60 hours between 2 employers?

H-1B visa holders can work for multiple employers if each employer files a separate petition and the employment complies with visa regulations. There is no specific limit on total hours worked, but each employer must adhere to the standard 40-hour workweek and ensure the employment is authorized and within the terms of the approved H-1B petitions.

Does Flex sponsor H-1B visa?

Flex, as a company, has sponsored H-1B visas for skilled foreign workers in the past, particularly for roles requiring specialized technical skills. However, visa sponsorship policies can vary by position and over time, so it is advisable to confirm directly with the company's current hiring practices or legal team. Job seekers should ensure they meet the specific requirements and have the necessary qualifications for H-1B sponsorship when applying.

Is 2026 H-1B salary based?

The H-1B visa program, including for roles like Flex H1B, requires employers to pay the prevailing wage for the position and location, ensuring salary is based on industry standards rather than a fixed amount.
