For more than 25 years, our development teams have created some of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful entertainment experiences, captivating and engaging audiences around the world. We are incredibly proud of our ability to deliver consistently the highest-quality titles, as well as our colleagues who help to create our unique culture and work environment that is inclusive, diverse, and dynamic.

While our offices are casual and inviting, we are deeply committed to our core tenets of creativity, innovation and efficiency, and individual and team development opportunities. Our industry and business are continually evolving and fast-paced, providing numerous opportunities to learn and hone your skills. We work hard, but we also like to have fun, and believe that we provide a great place to come to work each day to pursue your passions.

The Challenge:

The selected candidate will be responsible for business affairs legal work for a dynamic entertainment company and will work closely with internal business clients and senior in-house counsel. This position will negotiate, draft, and track a high-volume of legal agreements relating to entertainment, technology, intellectual property and related matters. This position is an in-person role based in our New York City office.

What You'll Take On:

  • Support senior attorneys across practice groups that include music, entertainment, sports, technology, advertising, and all aspects of console, online and mobile gaming.
  • Structure and analyze deals within a matrix of rights held by third parties, such as content distributors, hardware manufacturers, sports leagues, record labels, music publishers, actors and other talent, technology licensors, software developers, entertainment companies, advertising agencies, ancillary merchandise vendors, data analytics providers, information technology vendors and similar entities.
  • Advise internal clients regarding general business and contract issues, as well as copyright, technology, corporate, regulatory and related matters.
  • Provide day-to-day legal and business affairs counsel to highly creative business units.
  • Assess risks associated with highly complex legal issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Serve as part of the Legal team helping Take-Two's publishing labels create the most innovative and creative products in the most efficient way possible.

What You Bring:

  • 3-5+ years experience in-house or within a law firm.
  • Expertise in contracting issues, with excellent drafting skills.
  • Experience with complex corporate or intellectual property transactions, including content creation, production, clearance, marketing and distribution.
  • Experience with entertainment or technology matters, or significant corporate experience with a strong desire to transition to entertainment and technology matters.
  • Must have the ability and desire to evaluate and advise on complex agreements and contractual issues.
  • Must possess common sense, patience, good humor, and a commitment to teamwork.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to convey complex matters in clear terms to clients and colleagues.
  • Enthusiasm for the videogame industry.
  • Remains calm and confident despite deadlines and challenging priorities.
  • Qualified and in good standing with the State Bar of New York.

What We Offer You:

  • Great Company Culture. Ranked as one of the most creative and innovative places to work, creativity, innovation, efficiency, diversity and philanthropy are among the core tenets of our organization and are integral drivers of our continued success.
  • Growth: As a global entertainment company, we pride ourselves on creating environments where employees are encouraged to be themselves, inquisitive, collaborative and to grow within and around the company.
  • Work Hard, Play Hard. Our employees bond, blow-off steam, and flex some creative muscles – through corporate boot camp classes, company parties, game release events, monthly socials, and team challenges.
  • Benefits. Medical (HSA & FSA), dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan, commuter benefits, in-house wellness program, broad learning & development opportunities, a charitable giving platform with company match and more!
  • Perks. Fitness allowance, employee discount programs, free games & events and stocked pantries.

The pay range for this position in New York at the start of employment is expected to be between $133,900 and $198,160 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for employees in regular roles may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, provided that temporary or intern roles will not be eligible for many of these payments or benefits.
