The Flex Advent Health Rn role is a flexible staffing position within Advent Health, allowing RNs to work across different hospital units on varying shifts. A Registered Nurse is a licensed healthcare professional working in hospitals or clinics. While both roles require similar certifications and work in healthcare settings, the Flex Advent Health Rn offers more scheduling flexibility compared to traditional RN positions.

How does the flexible scheduling for Flex Advent Health RNs impact their integration with unit teams and patient care?

As a Flex RN at AdventHealth, you’ll have the advantage of choosing your shifts and units, offering greater work-life balance. However, this flexibility also means you may work with different teams and patient populations regularly, requiring strong adaptability and communication skills. While you may not have the same continuity with patients or coworkers as core staff, Flex RNs are valued for their ability to quickly integrate into teams and provide consistent, quality care. Building rapport and staying updated on unit protocols are key to thriving in this environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Flex AdventHealth RN, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Flex AdventHealth RN, you need a valid RN license, broad clinical competency, and the ability to quickly adapt to various care settings. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), hospital protocols, and specialized medical equipment is typically required. Strong communication, adaptability, and time management are crucial soft skills for working effectively in diverse teams and shifting environments. These skills and qualifications ensure flexible RNs can maintain high standards of patient care while seamlessly integrating into different units as needed.

What are Flex Advent Health RNs?

Flex Advent Health RNs are Registered Nurses who work on a flexible, per-diem, or PRN (pro re nata, or 'as needed') basis within the Advent Health hospital system. These nurses fill in staffing gaps, cover shifts during high patient volumes, or provide support during absences. Flex RNs have the opportunity to choose their shifts and locations, offering them more control over their schedules while still delivering high-quality patient care. They are held to the same standards and qualifications as full-time Advent Health RNs. This role is ideal for nurses seeking flexibility and variety in their work environment.
