How You Can Make an Impact
The Fleet Service Coordinator supports the Shop Foreman to keep vehicles and equipment maintained, compliant, and ready for daily operations. This position works closely with fleet personnel, field crews, vendors, and management to facilities maintenance activities, monitor regulatory requirements, and support efficient use of fleet assets. The Fleet Service Coordinator plays a key role in minimizing downtime, maintaining accurate records, and helping keep fleet operations organized and responsive to the needs of the business.
How You Will Contribute
  • Coordinate Disposal of waste oil, filters and other environmental compliance needs.
  • Communicate any needs or problems relating to the maintenance or repair of equipment to the Shop Foreman.
  • Schedule and direct work assignment and prioritize tasks as directed by Shop Foreman.
  • Maintain logs of all maintenance services, including tracking mileage, and updating E360.
  • Coordinate 90-day inspections, repairs for defective DVIRs, and all other required regulatory compliance, such as BIT/DOT inspections.
  • Coordinate telematics installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Coordinate testing and coordinating repairs on units that fall under ARB's regulations for periodic opacity testing
  • Open and close out work orders, reviewing/coordinating warranty repairs, recalls, and smog checks.
  • Schedule annual fire extinguisher and First Aid replacement on fleet vehicles.
  • Research and locate needed parts and shop supplies.
  • Coordinate automotive repair and maintenance services to obtain maximum utilization of automotive equipment and prevent operational delays in other departments.
  • Support emergency breakdown coordination and after-hours service arrangement as needed.
  • Monitor repair progress and communicate status updates to various stakeholders.
  • Track vehicle and equipment registration and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What You Bring to the Table
  • Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in heavy/highway construction work preferred.
  • Interpersonal and customer service skills a must
  • Fleet Management Software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) proficiency preferred
  • Valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record, Class A preferred
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED

Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour
