Regional Maintenance Fleet Manager

Full Time First/Mid Level Mgr Brunswick, GA, US

About the Position:

The Regional Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation and efficient management of the Company's vehicle fleet across multiple locations within the region. This role ensures that all fleet activities align with organizational objectives, including cost control, regulatory compliance, safety, and operational efficiency. The Regional Fleet Manager leads strategic planning efforts to optimize fleet utilization, preventive maintenance programs, and vehicle replacement strategies. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement policies that enhance driver safety and reduce environmental impact. Ultimately, the Regional Fleet Manager plays a critical role in supporting business operations by maintaining a reliable, cost-effective, and fully compliant fleet.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant experience in a similar role will be considered.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in fleet management or a comparable operational leadership role.

Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety regulations, and fleet management software.

Proven ability to manage budgets and analyze financial data related to fleet operations.

Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) or similar fleet management certification.

Experience managing multi-state or regional fleet operations within the United States.

Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and alternative fuel vehicle technologies.

Proficiency with advanced fleet management systems and telematics solutions.

Experience negotiating vendor contracts and managing large-scale procurement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Manage the daily operations of the regional vehicle fleet, including scheduling, maintenance, and repairs to ensure maximum uptime and safety.

Develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures that comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Monitor fleet performance metrics and prepare regular reports on operating costs, utilization, and compliance for senior leadership.

Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and internal departments to negotiate contracts and optimize fleet-related expenses.

Lead, coach, and develop fleet technicians and shop personnel while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

The Regional Fleet Manager leverages fleet management software daily to monitor vehicle status, schedule preventive maintenance, and analyze operational data to improve fleet performance and efficiency. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for coordinating with internal teams and external business partners while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
