Pay Range: $24.66 to $36.99
Shift: Afternoon/Evenings
Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker's gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.
Fleet Operations Supervisor
The Fleet Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day yard operations to ensure efficient, safe, and organized movement of equipment and trailers. This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational flow, supporting dispatch and fleet teams, and ensuring inventory and staging processes-such as the propane canopy-follow a consistent First-In, First-Out (FIFO) system. The supervisor also maintains clear and consistent communication with the Distribution Center to support seamless coordination of inbound and outbound operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee and coordinate yard operations to ensure smooth and efficient flow of trailers, equipment, and drivers
• Maintain consistent, clear communication with the Distribution Center (DC) regarding trailer readiness, dock availability, delays, and operational priorities
• Monitor dock activity and yard congestion, proactively adjusting staging and trailer positioning as needed
• Maintain accurate and organized trailer and equipment placement within the yard
• Ensure the propane canopy inventory is structured and maintained using FIFO principles
• Communicate daily with dispatch, drivers, and DC personnel to support load movement and on-time departures
• Identify and resolve yard-related bottlenecks or operational delays
• Promote and enforce safety procedures and compliance standards
• Assist with tracking trailer readiness, maintenance needs, and equipment availability
• Support training and guidance of yard personnel to ensure consistent operational practices
• Maintain clear and accurate operational records and reports as needed
Qualifications
Required:
• Strong ability to manage and coordinate high-volume yard operations in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, including the ability to coordinate effectively with a Distribution Center environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or nights as needed
Preferred (Not Required):
• Previous experience in fleet, transportation, logistics, or distribution center operations
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
• Experience with yard management systems, TMS, or telematics platforms
