Project Manager - 1st Shift
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
Pay Range: $60,000 - $80,000

OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:
The Project Manager is responsible for supporting the Lynchburg project staff by planning and coordinating project scheduling, leading the execution of site cross-functional projects, developing timelines, taking meeting minutes and action items during team meetings and performing basic follow up tasks. The role requires entry level project management skills, demonstrated by the ability to facilitate project team meetings within a rapidly evolving, cross-functional, regulated environment. The Project Manager is responsible for managing the new product introduction process and technical service projects such as cost savings and product reformulations. The role requires strong cross-functional business acumen demonstrated by working with multiple departments such as Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering and Operations. The Project Manager will work across multiple teams within a matrix organization to schedule project team meetings, organize resources, and manage across-project activities. The individual will have experience working in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical partners at various levels within the organization. Product categories include OTC drugs, Medical Devices, Cosmetics and Pharmaceuticals.

  • Builds project timelines with input from team members and change control owners
  • Schedules and facilitates regular project team meetings
  • Tracks the completion of team members' tasks to facilitate accountability
Responsibilities
  • Developing timelines with input from team members

  • Facilitates team meetings
  • Forms project teams for approved projects
  • Manages the overall execution of project plans
  • Issues meeting minutes and updates on progress of projects against milestones
  • Supports project management activities within Fleet business units
  • Performs other related project management duties as required
  • Manage and coordinate management activities among teams for on-time delivery
  • Ensure work is compliant
  • Concurrent projects with internal and external resources
  • Perform other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in scientific, business, or engineering.
  • Strong Smartsheet, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • 4-6 years' experience working in a Project Management environment
  • Proven ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Adaptable to changing priorities
