Light Duty Technician
About the Role
The Fleet & Commercial Light Duty Technician performs entry-level and routine maintenance services, supports shop workflow, and assists senior technicians. This role helps ensure timely service completion and contributes to a positive customer experience.
Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities
  • Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Inspect vehicles for safety and maintenance needs.
  • Perform battery testing, replacement, and minor repairs.
  • Check and maintain fluid levels and filters.
  • Install wiper blades, bulbs, and small components.
  • Document inspection findings in the MPI system.
  • Maintain clean work areas and proper tool use.
  • Assist Journeyman and Heavy-Duty Technicians as needed.
  • Support vehicle staging for Advisors.
  • Follow all shop safety procedures.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist with shop cleanup and parts pick-up.
  • Support express lane workflow.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Some automotive maintenance experience preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude required.
  • Ability to learn diagnostic equipment and dealership systems.
  • Valid driver's license.

Work Environment
Indoor service environment with noise, vehicle lifts, and rotating workflow
Physical Requirements
