Job description

Job Summary
Provides assistance to plant and/or maintenance personnel to perform repairs on stationary equipment, including crushers, conveyors, vibrators, screens, speed reducers, feeders, air compressors, etc.
Essential Functions
Perform duties safely, responsibly and proficiently observing all safety and health rules.
Familiar with the different types of fluids, oils and lubes for each piece of equipment
Assist with performing equipment services according to the recommended guidelines and equipment service manuals.
Maintains good housekeeping practices in shop and general plant area.
Perform a variety of duties as directed in addition to those described herein.

High School Diploma/GED preferred but not required.
Experience
This is an entry level position which requires few welding skills and little to no experience.
3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Good mechanical skills are required, knowledge of raw materials, production process is preferred.
Knowledge and experience in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to read and understand appropriate servicing and instruction manuals
Other Requirements
Performs oil, lube, and filter services on stationary equipment and maintains and reviews lubrication reports and service records.
Assists plant and/or shop personnel with repair and maintenance as required.
Perform basic welding and cutting tasks as required.
Reports equipment conditions to appropriate personnel.
