Job description

Business Analyst / Technologist for Fixed Income

At an expert level lead Fixed Income Trading technology initiatives to introduce new capabilities in alignment with product ownerโ€™s vision and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with Fixed Income product owners, translate trading vision and roadmaps into actionable trading technology solutions.
  • Apply expertise in areas of Fixed Income trading to help the company deliver leading trading capabilities through the use of technology.
  • Work in close collaboration with Agile scrum team to capture detail business requirements and specifications and provide mature trading solutions.
  • Collaborate with software development and QA team in the engineering of solutioning and testing efforts.
  • Is accountable for meeting assigned project objectives including timelines and internal standards.
  • Follow the companyโ€™s Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) ensuring compliance throughout the process.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with all aspects of portfolio management and trading for fixed income, currency, and derivative securities.
  • Direct experience working with trading systems and an understanding of program and algorithmic trading workflows. In-depth experience with CRIMS required.
  • Strong technical knowledge around data harvesting, and data base mapping to support daily business processes. Strong experience working with structured datasets, using database query tools, including Python, SQL, PL/SQL programming.
  • Proven documentation and analytical skills for gathering business requirements, functional specifications, and comprehensive test plans. Fluent with Jira and Confluence.
  • Expert level understanding of Trade lifecycle and OMS / EMS systems such as CRIMS.
  • Proven independent and focused individual with a demonstrated ability to develop creative, innovative solutions to meet complex business needs.
