Role Summary

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, partnering closely with the CEO, CIO, and business leaders to help shape and execute the firm's next phase of growth. While the scope of the role includes oversight of the firm's global finance function and core backoffice and business management operations, the precise shape of the role will flex to align with the specific strengths and experience of the individual selected.

We are seeking a CFO who brings deep leadership capability and an enterprise mindset-whether their background is most rooted in strategy, operations, capital markets, business building, product development, or financial stewardship. Regardless of background, the mandate is clear: elevate datadriven decision making, strengthen financial discipline, modernize financial and operational infrastructure, and contribute meaningfully to longterm value creation across the enterprise.

The CFO will help lead a complex, multiproduct asset management platform (~$325B AUM), ensuring strong financial controls, regulatory alignment, and scalable operating foundations, while also serving as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership. A critical focus of this role will be advancing financial, data, and operational capabilities-including the thoughtful adoption of AIenabled tools and insights-to enhance transparency, agility, and competitive advantage.

This role reports to the CEO.

This hybrid position will be based out of our Kansas City office.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Lead the finance function, including financial planning & analysis (FP&A), accounting, controllership, treasury, tax, and financial reporting across legal entities and investment vehicles.
  • Oversee financial backoffice and administrative functions, including facilities, procurement, and payroll, while ensuring scale, efficiency, and strong vendor governance.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to executive leadership, providing forwardlooking financial insights to support growth initiatives, product expansion, and capital allocation decisions.
  • Drive enterprise financial strategy, including longrange planning, budgeting, profitability analysis, and scenario modeling across asset classes and distribution channels.
  • Lead regulatory, audit, and compliance support from a financial perspective, ensuring adherence to global regulatory standards applicable to asset managers.
  • Own management reporting and performance measurement, delivering clear, actionable insights to the Management Committee and Board.
  • Advance AI and data transformation initiatives within finance and operations, including automation, predictive analytics, realtime reporting, and AIenabled decision support.
  • Modernize finance and backoffice technology platforms, partnering with Technology and Operations to implement scalable, cloudbased and AIdriven solutions.
  • Oversee cost management and operating leverage, balancing investment in growth with disciplined expense governance.
  • Support M&A, strategic partnerships, and new product launches, including financial due diligence, integration planning, and postacquisition value realization.
  • Build and lead a highperforming leadership team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across functions.
  • Act as a trusted interface with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, rating agencies, and key service providers.

What You Bring to the Team (Required)

  • 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
  • Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience
  • Deep understanding of asset management economics
  • Demonstrated experience leading AIenabled transformation
  • Strong strategic orientation
  • Track record of managing complex, regulated environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
