Job description

Overview

Connecting clients to markets - and talent to opportunity. With 5,400+ employees and over 80,000 institutional, commercial, and payments clients, we operate from more than 80 offices spread across six continents. As a Fortune 100, Nasdaq-listed provider, we connect clients to the global markets - focusing on innovation, human connection, and providing world-class products and services to all types of investors.Whether you want to forge a career connecting our retail clients to potential trading opportunities, or ingrain yourself in the world of institutional investing, StoneX Group is made up of four business segments that offer endless potential for progression and growth.

Corporate: Engage in a deep variety of business-critical activities that keep our company running efficiently. From strategic marketing and financial management to human resources and operational oversight, you'll have the opportunity to optimize processes and implement game-changing policies.

Responsibilities

Position Purpose: StoneX is embarking on a significant, multi-year transformation of its institutional securities business. The program will build a shared enterprise platform that brings together how institutional order flow is received, processed and settled across markets, regions and legal entities, replacing fragmented and duplicated processing with common services that can be reused as the business grows. It is a foundational piece of work that will shape our institutional operating model for years to come, and it is being delivered in stages so that value reaches the business early and often.

We are looking for a technically minded Senior Business Analyst to support the Head of Product for Institutional Securities, who owns the vision and direction for the program. You will be their right hand in turning that vision into well-defined, deliverable capability, owning the analysis that connects front office, operations and technology across the order, trade, settlement and funding lifecycles, and working closely with product, architecture and engineering to get it built. This is a high-visibility global role on a greenfield program, with genuine breadth, exposure to senior stakeholders, and real room to grow and to shape how StoneX delivers institutional securities capability.

Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Own the analysis behind enterprise order orchestration - defining how institutional orders are received, normalized, identified, validated, enriched, routed to downstream order management systems, and reported back with real-time status.
  • Lead requirements definition for the first institutional products delivered on the platform, including electronic order acceptance and routing, settlement visibility, broker give-up and take-up, FX and multi-currency handling, and cross-border trading and settlement.
  • Map current versus target state across the order, trade, settlement and funding lifecycles, identifying where duplicated or manual processing can be replaced by shared platform services and standardized flows.
  • Become the in-house subject-matter expert on the platform's capabilities and how they map to real business processes across desks, regions and legal entities.
  • Translate business and technical needs into clear user stories, functional specifications, message and field mappings, data dictionaries and acceptance criteria, working in close partnership with product, architecture, engineering and operations.
  • Support platform and vendor evaluation where build-versus-buy decisions arise - capturing functional and non-functional requirements, defining evaluation criteria, and contributing to an evidence-based recommendation.
  • Partner with operations, clearing, settlement, treasury and control functions to define exception handling, reconciliation, controls and reporting requirements so that new capability is operationally sound from day one.
  • Contribute to business cases and scope definition, presenting complex platform and integration concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and can be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management deems necessary.
Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience leading analysis on complex, cross-functional technology projects, ideally within financial services or capital markets.
  • Strong working knowledge of the securities trade lifecycle - order management, execution, allocation, clearing and settlement - across one or more of equities, fixed income and options.
  • Hands-on experience defining and analyzing system integration and order or trade messaging, with practical knowledge of FIX and exposure to REST APIs and event-driven messaging.
  • Experience with order management, execution management, or post-trade and settlement platforms, and an understanding of how orders are routed, matched and settled across markets and legal entities.
  • Exposure to correspondent clearing, broker give-up and take-up, FX and multi-currency processing, or cross-border trading and settlement is a strong advantage.
  • Experience defining integration requirements across systems - message normalization, field and data mapping, reference and static data, and exception handling.
  • Proficiency in data analysis (e.g. Excel, SQL) and business process modelling (e.g. Visio/BPMN), with the ability to map current versus target state.
  • Experience developing business cases and articulating cost, benefit and value to support investment and prioritization decisions, comfortable working across both Agile/Scrum and Waterfall delivery.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, with a track record of working across front office, operations and technology.
  • A self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity on a greenfield, multi-wave program and can work independently across global teams and time zones. Able to work with a minimum of supervision while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations
  • Proven analytical problem-solving ability
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects independently and in a timely manner
  • Ability to work in a fast pace/changing environment
  • Maintains prompt and regular attendance.

Working Environment:

  • 4 days in office per week
Employment Type: FULL_TIME
