What is the opportunity?

The Senior Manager, Financial Analytics & Treasury Data will partner with traders, data analysts, and teams across Corporate Treasury to deliver analytics and develop data systems that drive strategic decision-making. You'll support critical functions including interest rate risk strategy and hedging for RBC's banking books, structural FX and equity-linked hedging portfolios, and the management of CT's $70+ billion liquid asset portfolios (HTC, HTCS, and MTM).

This role requires strong expertise in financial products and derivatives, exceptional analytical capabilities, and solid technical skills. You'll translate business needs into actionable insights that inform trading decisions and strengthen Corporate Treasury's interest rate risk and portfolio management strategies

What will you do?

  • Provide on demand analytics by leveraging big data/ valuation models and tools to enhance our current trading practices and support trading strategies
  • Integrate various trading systems, databases and financial information to maintain consistent and timely reporting for Corporate Treasury Markets team
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and data visualization tools that transform complex financial datasets into actionable insights for traders and senior management
  • Enhance processes through automation and use of advanced technology for higher efficiency
  • Analyze and explain Profit and Loss (PnL) for CT Markets teams, communicate with traders to interpret results and provide sign-off, and partner with Product Controls and Performance Managers to ensure accuracy
  • Develop Python modules to rank assets and suggest top trades for portfolio managers according to market conditions and internal investment policies
  • Perform dealer assessments and monitor trade volume, product mix, wallet and ranking to optimize counterparty relationships and execution quality

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Treasury, Finance, or Trading
  • Expert knowledge of fixed income, derivatives, and portfolio reporting
  • Proficiency in Python, VBA, SQL, and Tableau
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively

Nice to have

  • CFA designation
  • Experience with HIVE, PySpark, or Power BI
  • Background in Treasury, Capital Markets, or Finance at a banking institution
