Job description

Range is creating AI-powered solutions to eliminate financial complexity for our members. We're transforming wealth management through the perfect blend of cutting-edge technology and human expertise. We're obsessed with member experience! We've built an integrated platform that tackles the full spectrum of financial needs-investments, taxes, retirement planning, and estate management-all unified in one intuitive system.
Backed by Google's Gradient Ventures, Cathay Innovations, and Scale Venture Partners, we're in hyper-growth mode and looking for exceptional talent to join our starting lineup. Every Ranger at this stage is shaping our culture and way of life-from former CEOs and startup founders to experts from leading hedge funds and tech companies.
If you're ready to build something that truly matters in financial services, bring your talent to Range. Here, you'll make a genuine impact on how people manage their financial lives while working alongside a team that celebrates wins, makes big decisions, and blazes new trails together.
About the role
We're looking for a Senior Portfolio Implementation Analyst to join our Investment Team and own the account trading and model implementation that keeps every member aligned with their investment plan. This is a chance to shape the trading function of our rapidly growing Investment Management offering.
You'll be responsible for all trading conducted in our members' accounts - from daily model basket trading and rebalancing to cash raises, tax-aware trades, and specific member requests. You'll also own consistent reviews and audits of members' accounts to ensure compliance with their investment plans.
Beyond execution, you'll help architect the infrastructure and controls required to efficiently scale bespoke, tax-smart portfolio management to a fast-growing member base. You'll sit at the intersection of our investment, operations, engineering, and advisory teams - with the autonomy to drive better outcomes for members and make a lasting mark on the growth of our Investment Management offering.
This role is based in our headquarters in McLean, VA, or our New York City office. Employees hired for this position will work in-office Monday-Friday. If you are not currently located in the area, your willingness to relocate will be a contingency for employment.
What you'll do with us
  • Conduct daily trading across all Range-managed models, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant execution of equity, ETF, mutual fund, and fixed-income orders.
  • Own rebalancing workflows at scale, including tax-aware trading, tax-loss harvesting, and direct indexing implementation.
  • Help strengthen our trading infrastructure - refining processes, controls, and tooling so execution stays accurate and scalable as Range grows.
  • Monitor and analyze trades, proactively reviewing and identifying accounts for adherence to their model portfolios and implementation plans.
  • Meet with members as needed to walk through rebalancing activities and trading mechanics in clear, plain language.
  • Partner with advisors and the broader investment team to support model changes and special account-level handling (e.g., legacy holdings, concentrated position management, and other restrictions).
  • Uphold best-execution practices and support the investment team's compliance and oversight obligations.

What will set you apart
  • CFA and/or CFP designations
  • Series 7 and Series 66 licenses
  • 5+ years of experience in trading or portfolio operations at an RIA or other asset manager
  • Member-facing experience with HNW and UHNW individuals
  • Experience with direct indexing, tax-loss harvesting, and tax-aware trading
  • Prior experience at a fintech or high-growth startup.
  • Passion for the markets and strong investment acumen

Benefits
  • Health & Wellness: 100% employer-covered medical insurance for employees (75% for dependents), plus dental and vision coverage
  • 401(k): Retirement savings program to support your future
  • Paid Time Off: Dedicated time to reset and recharge plus most federal holidays
  • Parental Leave: Comprehensive leave policy for growing families
  • Meals: Select meals covered throughout the week
  • Fitness: Monthly movement stipend
  • Equity & Career Growth: Early exercise eligibility and a strong focus on professional development
  • Full access to cutting-edge AI tools: We cover the cost so you can experiment, build, and move faster
  • Annual Compensation Reviews: Salary and equity refreshes based on performance
  • Boomerang Program: After two years at Range, you can take time away to start your own company. We'll hold your spot for 6 months - and pause your equity vesting, which resumes if you return

Range is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. We are committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status. As a company, we are committed to designing products, building a culture, and supporting a team that reflects the diverse population we serve.
