Summary

Fidelity Manufacturing, a growing $150 million manufacturing company located in Ocala, Florida, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the Company's financial records and reporting while supporting the organization's financial operations. The Senior Accountant will perform a broad range of financial accounting responsibilities, including month-end and year-end closing, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, journal entries, fixed asset accounting, financial analysis, and maintaining effective internal controls. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership and cross-functional departments to provide timely financial information that supports sound business decisions and organizational growth. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Analyze income statement and balance sheet activity, researching and resolving variances.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports for management.
  • Support annual financial statement audits and external audit requests.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal control procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with operations and other departments to support financial reporting needs.
  • Assist in developing and documenting accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support special projects and financial analyses as assigned by the Controller or Chief Financial Officer.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records.
  • Stay current on accounting standards and regulatory changes affecting financial reporting

Required Qualifications:

Education:

· Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.

· CPA certification is a plus.

Experience:

· 5–7 years of progressive financial accounting experience.

· 3–5 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment is required.

· Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close processes.

· Experience working with ERP accounting systems in a manufacturing environment preferred.

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and financial reporting


Preferred Qualifications:

· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or active pursuit of certification. - Experience supporting financial

· reporting within a manufacturing organization.

Work environment is an office atmosphere. Work could also involve some outside exposure. May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (Not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels). Safety training is provided in accordance with applicable law, industry standards and company policy. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional visits to the production floor to gain operational understanding and support financial reporting activities.
