About your team

Fidelity Systematic Investing brings together our systematic capabilities across Equities, Fixed Income and Quant to deliver solutions to clients. The business has grown from $3bn in AUM to $30bn in AUM in c.5years, has a strong commercial focus and a healthy pipeline of new business opportunities.

Specifically, the team delivers:

  • Access to the full Fidelity alpha generation platform: Portfolios reflect the views from our fundamental research, quantitative research and trading teams.
  • Systematic portfolio construction process built on robust quantitative tools, ensuring precise, risk controlled and cost aware positioning.
  • Customised portfolio construction.

About your role

  • Working cross-asset, assisting in the growth and servicing of systematic capabilities, with an increased focus on Systematic Fixed Income ($10bn AuM)
  • Engagement with other stakeholders, (Multi Asset, Solutions, ETFs) to understand their requirements and support delivery using systematic capabilities
  • Engage with distribution and key clients, prepare sales content and reflect their requirements in systematic solutions
  • Support and interact with clients on new pitches as well as existing mandates
  • Technical understanding of Fixed Income markets and drivers
  • Development of thought pieces which provide proof statements of systematic capabilities
  • Represent Systematic capabilities at internal and external forums

Key Responsibilities

  • Championing Systematic Investing, in particular Fixed Income, through the support of its growth objectives and delivery to clients
  • Query management and reporting - timely and coordinated execution of client queries and commentaries
  • Client servicing and marketing including key investment marketing collateral, client pitch presentations, non-standard presentations and portfolio reporting
  • Sign-off reports and presentations produced by Fund Analysts and Investment Specialists
  • Content for Product launches, reshapes, DDQ, RFPs, perspectives.
  • Coordinate and liaise with IM and Distribution (PMs, PSG, Stats, PCR, Sales & Marketing, RFP)
  • Coaching and mentoring interns/graduates as required
  • Internal sales training
  • Representing Systematic externally in client fund reviews and through support of new business pitches
  • Support for SyFI strategies. Technically capable to participate in client facing activities including coverage of the investment process, strategy updates, product updates, client servicing, prospecting, due-diligence, RFPs and product development
  • Defence - helping retain business following poor performance or key changes
  • Updating and improving presentations - including critique of existing materials and creative thinking to improve messaging
  • Collaborate on marketing strategy for the franchise and support product development process, as well as proactive engagement with marketing teams on marketing of strategy
  • Understand client needs, feedback client views, provide client voice in e.g. QFRs

They should have excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to multi-task successfully, and have a genuine thirst to help the Systematic team continue to build and scale its business. Alongside a strong knowledge of FIL's current capabilities, markets and systematic approach to investment, they should also be keen to continuously develop their technical knowledge.
