TSMC Arizona is looking for a Hookup Tool Design BIM Technician (Fixed-Term Contract)to join our AZ fab, located in Phoenix, Arizona. As a Hookup Tool Design BIM Technician, you will demonstrate a strong sense of reliability and enthusiasm and will possess an attitude that embodies our core values - Integrity, Commitment, Innovation and Customer Trust.
Technician Job Description
Your main responsibilities include:
  1. Utilize BIM software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam to create accurate 3D models, manage spatial layouts, and assist in space allocation for tools within FAB design projects.
  2. Support the coordination between engineering teams, construction teams, and various stakeholders such Facility engineers, (ISEP (Integrated Systems Engineering and Planning), IT, and AMHS (Automated Material Handling Systems).
  3. Help engineers to conduct field observation for construction readiness. Check on-site conditions and compare it to 3D federated model.
  4. Help engineers to assign facility ports to the semiconductor tools and ensure tool requirements are met.
  5. Assist in refining design workflows to improve efficiency, reduce design cycle times, and maintain quality standards.
  6. Assist in collaborating on projects across FAB facilities in Taiwan, Japan, Europe, and any future TSMC global FAB expansions ensuring compliance with regional standards and cultural considerations.
  7. Track assigned tasks, report progress, and escalate any issues to the team leader or manager.
  8. Support the identification and mitigation of risks within the project's scope to ensure smooth execution.
  9. Use tools like Navisworks to conduct clash detection and help resolve coordination issues across disciplines.
  10. Maintain organized and detailed design documents according to project standards and company protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have:
  1. A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  2. Familiarity and experience with BIM tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks (certifications in these tools are a plus).
  3. Hands-on experience working in cleanroom environments, semiconductor construction, or general construction.
  4. Strong willingness to learn, improve, and grow within the company.
  5. Good interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  6. Ability to communicate and work in an English environment is a must (language ability in Mandarin, German, and Japanese is a plus).
  7. A proactive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and an eagerness to learn advanced skills through company training.

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. An associate degree in a technical or related field, relevant certification, military experience, or a trade school diploma
  2. Previous experience in semiconductor fabrication facilities, cleanroom environments, or high-tech construction projects.
  3. Certification in CAD or BIM software tools.
  4. Experience with clash detection software such as Navisworks Manage.
  5. Knowledge of construction workflows, building codes, and standards.
  6. Basic programming skills or experience with automation tools (preferred but not required).

Physical Requirements:
  1. May spend extended hours working inside clean room.
  2. Required to left up to 50lbs
  3. Sensory demands include exposure to the smells associated with industrial chemical operations, exposure to the sounds associated with powered tools and industrial equipment's.

Work Location: 5088 W. Innovation Circle, Phoenix, AZ 85083, candidates must be willing and able to work on-site at our Phoenix, Arizona facility.
Travel: International travel as required to support global projects. This may include extended international assignments based on project needs. Flexibility to adapt to different time zones, cultures, and work environments is essential.
