Job Summary:

The Data Migration Specialists play a crucial role in enhancing our system's automation, speed, accuracy, and workflow. They employ tools such as Excel and SQL to collect and analyze data, resolving issues and discrepancies. This optimization greatly improves the efficiency of onboarding client data at Clearwater. Collaborating closely with our talented development teams, they devise creative strategies that not only simplify the process but also dramatically cut down delivery times. Our commitment lies in establishing processes that are not only replicable but also adaptable, enabling us to effortlessly accommodate our expanding client base.

Responsibilities:

  • Applies acquired skills, procedures, and decision-making best practices to resolve various issues.

  • Loads and validates client data into the Clearwater investment account system as the primary responsibility.

  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of Clearwater Way methodologies to implement and onboard clients, including aligning and supporting CW's Client Engagement Model.

  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and takes the lead in implementing solutions, both individually and within their role, for continuous service improvement.

  • Applies their understanding of the accounting equation, amortization, interest income, and other accounting concepts.

  • Utilizes their understanding of data intake, normalization, reconciliation, and reporting workflow, along with related concepts.

  • Applies their understanding of vanilla fixed income and equity investments, comprehending their purpose and functionality within CW.

  • Understands and applies Clearwater's core value proposition (aggregate, reconcile, report) in a market- and client-agnostic manner.

  • Coordinates complex activities effectively within a dynamic and agile environment.

Required skills:

  • They must possess a strong foundation in accounting knowledge.

  • Advanced Excel proficiency

  • Advanced SQL or other relational databases

  • Advanced securities or financial markets knowledge, especially involving derivatives, alternatives, structured products, and/or fixed income

  • Project Management Skills (ex. project lead)

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and math expertise.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's in finance or math, accounting, economics.

  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
