Overview

Job Purpose

ICE Data Services is an industry leading provider of high quality evaluated pricing across multiple asset classes including fixed income, derivatives, credit and OTC securities. We support mission-critical processes across the front, middle and back offices of organizations around the world through our award-winning end of day (EOD) and continuous evaluated pricing (CEP) products, offering comprehensive coverage and reliable delivery.

ICE Data Services is looking for a Fixed Income Analyst with a background in municipal bonds. The primary responsibility of the Municipal Fixed Income Analyst will be to assist with the management and maintenance of the ICE Municipal Yield Curve, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of curve outputs. As a secondary responsibility, the analyst will support the generation of daily EOD and intraday CEP evaluations for municipal bonds and other municipal credit instruments as part of ICE Data Services' Municipal Evaluations Group.  The candidate will work in a team environment collecting market data, and interacting with colleagues in the Municipal Evaluations Group, internal stakeholders, and the municipal fixed income client base. Knowledge of municipal fixed income securities and experience in the municipal bond market are required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the ICE Municipal Yield Curve, including daily calibration, quality control, and timely publication of curve outputs
  • Collaborate with technology and data science teams on curve methodology enhancements and model validation
  • Support daily EOD and intraday CEP evaluation of municipal fixed income securities using proprietary models when not engaged in yield curve management
  • Interpret market information and apply it to the evaluation process
  • Contribute to new product and system enhancement development projects as needed
  • Respond to time critical daily customer inquiries; must be comfortable with frequent client contact
  • Establish and maintain market contacts; interact with market participants
  • Research and build specialist knowledge of assigned markets
  • Monitor news and market conditions and provide commentary as required
  • Undertake ad-hoc research projects as directed by management

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of market experience with municipal fixed income securities
  • Strong understanding of the market forces impacting the municipal fixed income market
  • Familiarity with yield curves and term structure models as applied to the municipal market
  • Some knowledge of practical applications of statistical analysis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; comfortable learning new technology as it applies to securities valuation
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work under stringent time constraints, multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Ability to digest market information and articulate in a structured and concise manner
  • Team player with willingness to collaborate with colleagues and take direction from management
  • Independent self-starter, able to sustain productivity in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work the hours necessary to achieve daily objectives

New York Base Salary Range 

The expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $82,000 - 112,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual. Regular full-time ICE employees are eligible for a suite of competitive employee benefits, including healthcare coverage (medical, dental and vision), a 401(k) plan, life insurance, time off, and paid leave for qualifying circumstances.
