Job description

Job Summary

This position performs key accounting responsibilities to support accurate financial reporting, focusing on fixed asset management and cash reconciliation at the corporate level and in North America. The role owns the full lifecycle of fixed asset accounting and plays a critical part in reconciling wires, checks, and electronic deposits within Oracle. This position supports internal cash accuracy and collaborates with operational and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

Fixed Asset Accounting

  • Fully own and manage the fixed asset process for corporate-level assets across North America.
  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of fixed assets, including capitalization, tracking, depreciation, and retirement within Oracle.
  • Maintain accurate fixed asset records in compliance with company policy and accounting standards.
  • Partner with Operating Business Unit (OBU) leaders to ensure completeness and accuracy of asset data and reporting.

Cash Management & Reconciliation

  • Assist in identifying and correcting cash activity errors in preparation for monthly reconciliations.
  • Support the corporate cash reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of cash transactions.
  • Reconcile outgoing wires and checks at month-end in collaboration with the Accounts Payable team.
  • Manage and reconcile credit card deposits, PayQuicker deposits, and payout activity.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for cash-related general ledger accounts within Oracle.

General Accounting Support

  • Prepare and post journal entries for fixed asset and cash-related accounts.
  • Support the Cost Manager in costing and inventory analysis.
  • Assist with month-end close tasks related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts and other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, particularly fixed asset and cash accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with internal controls and public company reporting standards.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP systems preferred.

Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Outlook.
  • High attention to detail with excellent reconciliation and tracking ability.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Education & Experience
