Job description

Alexandre Dairy is looking for a CDL A Local Utility Driver in Smith River, CA. Our drivers are team players, professional, and dedicated to doing the job right. Alexandre Dairyโ€™s drivers play a vital role in the success of our customers, our company, and ultimately, themselves.

Compensation:

  • Pay per mile: 60 CPM
  • On Duty Hourly rate: $25
  • Additional Pay:
    • Loading/Unloading pay: $25/Standard hourly rate
    • Detainment pay: $16.50/hr
  • Paid semi-monthly/can be via direct deposit or pay card

Home Time, Route and Schedule

  • Home Time: Home Daily
    • 5-6 Days / week, Flexible
  • Route: regional Northern, CA and Oregon

Equipment

  • Equipment will be assigned based on route
  • 2021 or 2024 model year trucks
  • 5-axle flatbed (single and double), cattle, reefer, end dump, and tank trailers
  • Manual or automatic transmission

Qualifications

  • Must have valid CDL A license
  • Must be at least 23 years old
  • Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience
  • Must have experience driving a truck with manual transmission
  • Tank Endorsement required within 6 months of hire
  • Doubles endorsement required within 6 months of hire
  • No more than 2 major moving violations within a 3-year period
  • No more than 2 accidents within a 3-year period
  • Pre-employment DOT Drug and Alcohol Screening required
  • Current Medical Examiner's Certificate
  • Ability to conduct all operations in a safe manner
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language
  • Successful candidates will be subject to a DOT pre-employment drug screen as well as motor vehicle and employment reference checks
  • Must live within 75 miles of Smith River, CA
