The Company

B2Gold is a responsible international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland.


Position

Contracts Administrator, Edmonton


Location and Reporting Structure 

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, this position is based in Edmonton, Canada.


Responsibilities 

   Facilitate sourcing activities through to contract award including, but not limited to, Requests for proposals (RFP) development and management, proposal evaluation, preparation of award recommendation, negotiation (terms and conditions, commercial), and contract drafting;
   Perform post-award contract management activities through all stages of the lifecycle including, but not limited to, attending/chairing meetings, facilitation of change management processes, assist with claim/dispute resolution (if required), tracking of contract submittals and deliverables, and ensuring contract compliance;
   Create and maintain purchase orders that reflect the commercial terms of their associated contract;
   Develop an understanding of the Project requirements to ensure that contracts are fit for purpose and aligned with the Project policies and mandates (eg. health and safety, IIBA requirements, etc.);
   Advise and collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish contract and sourcing plans that are in accordance with best practice;
   Establish and maintain files and records, ensuring proper documentation is readily available for reference and auditing purposes if required; and
   Maintain and deliver comprehensive reports to support informed business decisions.

Desired Competencies and Requirements 

   Five (5) years' contract administration experience in the mining, heavy or construction industry;
   Bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, finance, law, or a related field;
   Strong understanding of contract law, legal terminology, regulatory requirements and purchasing law related to public tenders and RFPs; and
   Experience with SAP, S4 Hana is considered an asset. Knowledge and experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft software (Word, Outlook, Excel, MS Project, and Teams).
