Fitter Helpers are entry-level workers who assist fitters in assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment. Their duties typically include handing tools, holding materials, cleaning work areas, and performing basic tasks under supervision. They help ensure that the worksite runs smoothly and that fitters can focus on more complex tasks. This role is often a starting point for individuals looking to gain experience in mechanical or construction trades.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a fitter helper, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Fitter Helper, you need basic mechanical aptitude, familiarity with tools, and often a high school diploma or vocational training. Experience with hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and sometimes safety certifications like OSHA are commonly required.
