Grounded Table is a wine country restaurant and pub sharing food with heart in historic downtown McMinnville, Oregon. The light-filled space is warm and approachable, welcoming locals and tourists for casual meals and special celebrations. The restaurant menus draw inspiration from the seasons and thoughtfully sourced ingredients, many of which are from our Tabula Rasa Farms, and other provisioners using sustainable practices like regenerative farming and small-batch craft. JOB SUMMARY:
Create menu magic and make hungry people happy. Showcase your skills by preparing daily menu preparations, ensure a sanitary and well-maintained station, and prepare food in a quick and sanitary manner. The Line Cook position is responsible for opening and closing individual stations in the kitchen and preparing dishes that accommodate customer needs in a timely manner.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Able to cook proteins to pre-determined temperatures
  • Ability to cook and plate menu items in a timely manner
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
  • Working knowledge of all major and minor sauces
  • Working knowledge of meat and fish cookery

Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of specialized equipment: Mastering of slicer, Robot-coupe, convection ovens
  • Must possess knife skills, the ability to adjust preparations for flavor, and accommodate customer's needs in a timely manner.
  • Position requires prolonged standing, bending, and lifting products and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • 3+ years industry experience
  • Necessary State Food Handler's License(s)
