Overview
Heritage Christian Services is seeking an energetic and positive person with a record of providing person centered supports. The Fiscal Intermediary Coordinator is responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals who self direct their services through a self directed budget. Responsibilities include active participation in the person centered planning process and oversight of the self directed budget once approved.

Pay for this position: $ 24.50 / hr - $ 26.50 / hr
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting
Responsibilities
  • Read, understand and ensure compliance with relevant OPWDD and DOH guidance and ADMs including Community Habilitation, Broker, Respite, SEMP, FI, IDGS, etc.
  • Ensure timely and accurate enrollments in Self-Directed Services (CHOICES, eVero).
  • Actively participate in Circle of Support (COS) and Life Plan meetings for assigned individuals.
  • Provide information, guidance, support and education to Self-Directing Participants on Self-Direction rules and regulations and internal policies.
  • Review submitted self directed budgets; ensure all required elements are in place prior to submission to OPWDD.
  • Provide support as needed with obtaining and maintaining housing subsidies. Ensure all housing subsidies are renewed annually by November 15th.
  • Maintain a compliant, electronic record for each individual you are assigned to support including current Life Plans, budget justifications, Staff Action Plans, LCEDs, Psychological Evaluations, etc.
  • Supervise, train and co-manage Self-Hired employees.
  • Review all service documentation (staff documentation, invoices, reimbursement/payment requests, etc) for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Complete self-hired staff management related activities and ensure level 3 FI Fee Billing requirements are met on a monthly basis.
  • Report all Reportable Incidences immediately and ensure immediate protections are in place in the event of a reportable incident.
  • Ensure timely process of payroll documentation.
  • Ensure timely reimbursement processing for reimbursement requests from Self-Directing participants, their families and self-hired staff.
  • Regularly monitor budget spending for assigned individuals and address issues/concerns proactively with the individual, broker, Care Coordinator/Manager and members of the COS as appropriate.
  • Attend FI/Broker OPWDD Webex quarterly meetings and other trainings as assigned.
  • Attend Team Meetings as scheduled.
  • Work cohesively as part of a larger team.

Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree Required or Equivalent of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong Writing and Communication Skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Personable and energetic with positive attitude
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking individuals, preferred
  • Valid driver's license that is in compliance with Heritage Christian Services' motor vehicle record standards, and reliable transportation to and from work
