Job description

This is a sales and customer facing position, no office requirement.

As a Mission Critical Consultant, you will be the driving force behind the sales success of our Mission Critical Portfolio including our Mission Critical Push-to-Talk and Intrepid Response for FirstNet Solutions. Your role will go beyond sales as you will be expected to provide market sensing and offer feedback to the AT&T Product teams as well as Sales Leadership.

Overall Purpose: Drive revenue growth and support aligned sales teams as the product specialist, assisting in the sale of complex products, services, and solutions tailored to customers' needs.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Deliver on the Business Plan: Engaged in sales activity to uncover and close Mission Critical sales opportunities. This includes working in partnership with the Mobility Sellers, meeting with customers, solution demonstrations, proposal generation, etc...
  • Mission Critical Solutions Subject Matter Expert: You will be the SME that the Mobility Sales teams and customers look to for the Mission Critical solutions. This includes deep product knowledge, process knowledge, and sales targeting strategies.
  • Market Sensing: Provide feedback and recommendations to ensure AT&T is delivering on solutions that compete in the marketplace and deliver the functionality that meets customer requirements.
  • Product Expertise: Provide subject matter product expertise and suitability for customer solutions.
  • Solution Customization and Design: Consult with sales teams and customers to design and customize products, services, and solutions.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare detailed sales proposals, presentations, and bids, including pricing for highly complex solutions.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute advanced sales strategies and strategic plans to stay competitive in the market.
  • Account Management: Oversee the sales process as product specialist, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in the sales of Land Mobile Radio, Push-to-Talk, Situational Awareness solutions to the public Sector.
  • Technical acumen for these solutions with the ability to stay focused on closing the business.
  • Ability to work in a team environment driving collaboration and best outcome.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel to customer meetings with frequent overnight travel required.

Desired Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) desired. 8+ years of related sales experience.
