Maintenance Electrician Band 8/9
VT Operations, 1st shift
Pay Range: $25.55- $34.90
Position Summary
Maintenance Electrician VIII will work collaboratively within Vt Operations to provide technical service across all Vt Operations areas. This position supports the repair and improvement of mechanical and automated systems used in our production process. Major duties include daily manufacturing support and problem-solving, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and working closely with others on maintenance projects. This position also supports bringing new automated equipment into a production environment, which may include project management, onsite deployment, installation, and training for completed systems.
Essential Functions:
  • Promotes a team environment by working with machine operators and other maintenance techs to troubleshoot and repair equipment, minimizing downtime
  • Leads electrical projects on machinery and facilities
  • Provides emergency or unscheduled repairs of production equipment
  • Performs maintenance duties including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair on production and packaging machines
  • Installs and tests new equipment or machines as necessary
  • Reads and interprets work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Performs regular preventive maintenance on equipment, machines, and plant facilities
  • Manages maintenance projects for facility or process repairs and improvements
  • Embraces Carris Reels' behavior-based safety program
  • Maintains clean and orderly work areas
  • Demonstrates excellent attitude, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Performs all other duties as required

Qualifications
Education / Experience
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician License, along with other technical training in mechanical, industrial electrical, and hydraulics
  • 4+ years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting
  • PLC experience desirable, but not required
