ASSISTANT PROSECUTING ATTORNEY TRAINEE

Starting Pay: $21.5995 Hourly ($44,927)

JOB SUMMARYPerforms a variety of legal tasks in Probate, District and Circuit Courts which includes legal research, representation of the County in legal proceedings and court cases; develops legal opinions; works under supervision; performs related duties as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepares and tries cases in Probate, District and Circuit Courts
  • Interviews complainants and issues orders for warrants in criminal cases
  • Furnishes information on inquiries and complaints submitted to the office of the Prosecuting Attorney
