The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States. The pay range is not guaranteed compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as a discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.GEA Group, located in Oakdale, MN, is searching for a Head of Service to join our team! The Head of Service will provide leadership and management to the Service Business that includes spare parts, field service, atomizer workshop, training and service projects.
  • Accountable for delivering targets – including but not limited to – Order Intake, Sales, Gross Margin, EBITDA, for Service
  • Identifies organizational gaps and market opportunities and implements initiatives to mitigate and achieve
  • Prepares and delivers budgets and mid-term plans for Service Business including sales, business development and people.
  • Sets targets and accountabilities for management personnel and evaluates performance regularly
  • Co-ordinates NPE Service Business with VP Country manager NPE NAM
  • Assures a work environment that recruits, retains and support quality staff
  • Assures a customer service focus attitude driving timely and efficient support to customer requests
  • Deals with escalation issues internally and externally and creating timelines for resolution
  • Communicates openly and often externally and internally following the NPE NAM communication plan
  • Supports other strategic and corporate initiatives as required
  • Ensures approval processes follow GEA guidelines – CRM, E-approval, PADB (and others where applicable)
  • Ensures compliance processes follow GEA guidelines – project management, procurement, QSHE and business compliance
  • Engages and champions the values, aspirations and objectives of GEA and NPE NAM

Education and Experience:
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Food Science, Business or related field is preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience managing Service business functions
  • Demonstrated and proven results in prior positions, specifically managing a P&L and growing a service sales and service project business
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
  • Integrity, credibility, and a strong commitment to the company’s mission.  Takes an active interest in learning and contributing to the team
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff, groups and major projects or initiatives.
