Pipe Yard Helper - 1st Shift and 2nd shift
Starting Pay: $15/hour + $1 shift differential
Location: Houston, TX 77051
Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1st Shift) and 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM (2nd Shift)
About the Role:
Integrity Trade Services is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Pipe Yard Helpers join our reputable partner, a leading distributor specializing in Carbon and Stainless Pipe, Fittings, and Flanges. This position offers hands-on work in a dynamic environment with opportunities to learn and grow within the company. It's an excellent chance for individuals who value safety, teamwork, and a strong work ethic to build a rewarding career.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Pipe Handling & Movement: Follow verbal and hand signal instructions to accurately identify, handle, and transport pipes within the yard.
  • Inventory Verification: Check heat numbers, quantities, and ensure pipes are properly secured to prevent movement or damage.
  • Shipment Preparation: Install strapping, bracing, and padding to safeguard pipes during loading and transit.
  • Surface & Product Preparation: Assist with painting, stenciling, sandblasting, and coating pipes as needed.
  • Safety Adherence: Follow all safety protocols, wear proper PPE, and maintain vigilance to promote a safe work environment.
  • Cross-Training & Support: Be open to assisting in other areas of the yard when required to support team operations.
  • Housekeeping: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from hazards, promoting operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of pipes, flanges, fittings, and related products.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Physical ability to frequently sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, and move around the yard.
  • Capability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Previous experience in industrial or pipe-related environments is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends, with an average of 50 hours per week.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following all safety procedures.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
