Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team, working in a collaborative environment to develop and implement advanced manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, incorporating advanced technologies (automation, robotics, CAM software, etc.) to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
  • Create and analyze 3D model data to drive process optimization and produce accurate digital work instructions.
  • Define operations procedures and build sequences leveraging knowledge of materials, fabrication, and automated processes.
  • Evaluate manufacturing equipment and tools (including IoT-enabled devices) to ensure performance, initiate corrective actions, and maintain operational excellence.
  • Utilize factory data to implement statistical process control methodologies, integrating reporting and analytics for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with product design teams to provide input on design concepts and specifications, ensuring optimal manufacturing methods are utilized.
  • Work cross-functionally with industrial engineering, planning, scheduling, quality assurance, and production planning teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with first-time product builds and new product development.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical experience and problem-solving approaches.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, including sub-systems installation in one or more of the following: hydraulics, electrical, power, fuel, ECS, landing gear, avionics.
  • Proficiency in CATIA V5.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes such as fabrication, assembly, machining, bonded assemblies, and electrical systems (composites and metallics).
  • Prior experience with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with MRP systems, SAP, or other Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
