Job Summary:
First Tek, Inc. is seeking a motivated and experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver automated system capabilities and big-data processing architectures. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing system solutions, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to meet stakeholder requirements and technical performance objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Define and implement architectures for automated systems and big-data ecosystems
• Develop automated data pipelines; perform data transformation, aggregation, and anomaly-detection tasks
• Architect and deliver local, distributed, and cloud-based data solutions
• Translate stakeholder needs into technical architectures, design specifications, and executable plans
• Design system technical standards and requirements across software, hardware, tools, and data platforms
• Implement proof-of-concept prototypes to validate design approaches
• Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards and cybersecurity controls
• Integrate AI/ML models into operational data flows
• Support test planning, system integration, and formal qualification events
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a program clearance
• Active Secret required
• Investigation within 5 years or CE enrollment
• Experience in designing, developing, and delivering automated system capabilities
• Experience in big-data processing architectures
• Hands-on experience in implementing system solutions from concept development through integration, deployment, and performance validation
• Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, customers, and program leadership
• Experience in defining and implementing architectures for automated systems and big-data ecosystems
• Experience in developing automated data pipelines; performing data transformation, aggregation, and anomaly-detection tasks
