Job description

The primary role of the Golf Marshal is to provide a once in a lifetime experience for every guest by providing excellent customer service while maintaining a good pace of play. In addition, the marshal team will be responsible for the Tee Captain role of starting golfers on time while informing them of the round expectations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a good pace of play for golfers on the golf course.
  • Assist golfers with essential course knowledge and directions to help with pace.
  • Communicate with the team to identify/assist slower groups on the course.
  • Marshal team is responsible for filling in as Tee Captain.
  • Tee captain gets the groups started off the first tee on time while conveying the pace/course expectations for the day.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.
  • Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety policies and procedures.

Other possible duties include:

  • Support and assist outside Customer Service team during tournaments.
  • Support and assist maintenance crew on inclement weather days.
  • Clean and detail marshal carts for the next day.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Support Customer Service staff by filling in for the 18th green shift.
  • Perform reasonable tasks assigned by management.
